A woman has been jailed after targeting a 90-year-old victim in her home in Bracknell. Jasmine Junor, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to robbery at Reading Crown Court on Monday, May 23.

The 29-year-old was sentenced to four years and four months’ imprisonment after being convicted of robbery. On April 19, just after midnight, the elderly victim heard banging noises on a window when she was in her living room in Crowthorne Road, Bracknell.

The victim thought this was her neighbour and opened her front door. Junor pinned the victim between the front door and the hallway wall and pushed her way into the property.

Junor then pushed the victim again as she tried to stop her from entering the property further. The 90-year-old knocked her arm against a door frame after Junor pushed her the second time.

The offender began acting erratically, saying she needs money as she was homeless, and then she threatened to stab the victim if she didn’t give her money. The victim saw something shiny in Junor’s hand, Thames Valley Police (TVP) said.

Junor then emptied the victim’s bag and stole £85 in cash from her purse. After waving her walking stick at Junor, telling her to leave, she did. The victim did not suffer any injuries and identified the victim in an identification parade.
